First car for a teenage girl?

I'm looking for a cute car for myself and my two young children, but also looking for something reliable and great on fuel. So far, I have my eyes set on a Toyota Prius, Mitsubishi Eclipse, or a VW Beetle. :-) If I am able to... I might be pushing it though, I would love a Mercedes Benz - M (SUV).. lol.
