Is there any english women who have married a Sri Lankan citizen?

I met my boyfriend in Sri Lanka 4 years ago when i was there on a holiday - since then i have been back to visit him several times and now we have decided that we want to make a proper go of it and get married. I need to know what we need to do to apply for a marriage certificate as i am aware of how difficult it will be for him to get a visa... Please is any body has been through this successfully then please help!!
