Why are the words invisible in the IM message box? I cannot see what I send or what is sent to me?

i haven't encountered anything like this before.. when you uninstall or install it.. try to reboot your computer.. or just simply sign out then you sign back in and see if its working already.. or maybe its time to upgrade man.. :)
