Weaning from the bottle.....is cold turkey or gradual weaning more effective?

we heated the milk for the morning and before bed sippy, just like a bottle. Everything was just cold milk . Our daughter did fine. Your child won't die of thirst, she'll drink if she's thirsty. plus no more bottles to wash!!!
