This idiot said his test result for syphilis came up negative, how accurate?

He said when he was diagnosed he received a shot. So years later he does a test and he said it came up negative. Should I believ this tramp???? O he said he will bring the papers as proof so I can see, I still have doubts. How effective is the cure and can it return.
