Has anyone else experimented with self-hypnosis?

At a high school graduation party we had a hypnotist there. He did a lot of neat things. He has been on the David Letterman show and traveled the States. The way he hypnotized people and made them do certain actons was really funny. Other than that I think being a hypnotist would be fun. The thing is though if a person doesn't believe that they'll be hypnotized or think its phony it won't work on them. Only if a person is willing too. A cool thing you can do is that if you ever want to help people from certain things when they're hypnotized and you can talk to them in their unconscious state, and they have a drinking problem and you tell they shouldn't do that anymore..it'll work. The thought that you're going to be helping people is the cool thing. Well in my opinion.
